A fire broke out at a house on Uwharrie Street in Asheboro, fire officials say

The fire was determined to be unintentional.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A home in Asheboro went up in flames early Tuesday morning, according to the Asheboro Fire Department. 

Firefighters were called to a house fire on Uwharrie Street and saw heavy fire when they arrived. Once fire officials searched the home, they confirmed it was empty.

Fire officials also determined the cause of the fire was unintentional.

Randolph County EMS and Asheboro Police Dept were also on scene to help.
