FRANKLINVILLE, N.C. — A home that was covered in flames after an overnight fire is a total loss, according to fire officials.
The fire also claimed the lives of the family's pets.
Firefighters were called to the home on Young Road off Grantville Lane about a fire around 3:38 a.m. When they arrived, they found a two-story home drowning in a blaze.
Multiple fire crews were on the scene to put out the flames, but according to fire chief Hoffman, the home, its contents, and several vehicles parked near it were a total loss.
"Our sincere condolences go out to this family who lost nearly everything, including family pets," the East Side Fire Department shared on their Facebook Page.
