Voters in 14 states are casting ballots today on Super Tuesday including here in North Carolina.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Voters in 14 states cast ballots on Super Tuesday including right here in North Carolina. Here are the winners from the night.

11:01 p.m. Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper of North Carolina has won his party's primary and will face Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Forest in the November general election as he seeks a second term.

10:42 p.m. Republican 6th Congressional district candidate Joseph Lee Haywood says the Triad should bring Opportunity Zones to the district. 

10:38 p.m. Bettye Taylor Jenkins is watching the polls with her supporters. She is nearly 50 points ahead of the incumbent for Guilford County Board of Education District 7. 

10:42 p.m. WFMY's Maddie Gardner interviews Kathy Manning. 

10:31 p.m. State Rep Derwin Montgomery thanks supporters after losing to Kathy Manning for a 6th Congressional District seat. 

10:30 p.m. - Kathy Manning currently speaking to supporters on her experience on the campaign trail for NC District 6! 

10:13 p.m. WFMY's Adaure Achumba stops by the Mayor Allen Joines camp. He is running again for Mayor of Winston-Salem. 

10:11 p.m. Democratic party presents the next Democratic ticket which will include Cal Cunningham and Roy Cooper.

10:08 p.m. Ballots are continuing to come in from all precincts at the Forsyth County board of elections offices.  

9:57 p.m. Kathy Manning all smiles as she greets supporters at her watch party. Manning is running for NC District 6.

9:51 p.m. Kathy Manning is in the building at her watch party in downtown Greensboro! Currently, she has a big lead in the polls on the democratic ticket. 

9:50 p.m. Cal Cunningham accepts the Democratic nomination for the race for US Senate. He will face Thom Thillis in November.

9:51 p.m. Former Democratic state lawmaker Cal Cunningham has advanced to a general election challenge against GOP Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina. 

9:45 p.m. Here is a look at the WFMY control room during Super Tuesday coverage!  

9:43 p.m. The crowd is waiting to hear from Governor Roy Cooper at the NC Democrats party in Raleigh.

9:26 p.m. Lt. Gov. Dan Forest takes the podium. He is expecting a win for the Republican nomination in the NC governors race.  

9:25 p.m. - Lee Haywood running for congress meets with voters on Super Tuesday.

9:21 p.m. Crowd awaiting final results for NC District 6 in downtown Greensboro. 

9:15 p.m. Speakers have begun to take the stage at the NC Republican Party  HQ.  

9:10 p.m. WFMY's Jessica Winters interviews Derwin Montogomery, candidate for the 6th Congressional District.  

8:48 p.m. - Grace Holland gives an update on how the paper ballots get counted.

8:25 p.m. Crowds are starting to pour in at the Kathy Manning watch party in Greensboro! 

8:22 p.m. Update from WFMY's Grace Holland on election results. 

8:22 p.m. Friendly debates going on between people attending the watch party for Lt. Gov. Dan Forest tonight.  

8:13 p.m. People took advantage of the extra 40 minutes at a precinct at Muller Park recreation center in Winston-Salem just before it closed at 8:10 p.m. 

7:51 p.m. Early results from Guilford and Forsyth County shows Joe Biden with a huge lead over Bernie Sanders. CBS has projected Joe Biden to win North Carolina. 

7:51 p.m. Joseph Lee Haywood has arrived at his event ahead of his race against Laura Pichardo. His platform as he runs in the NC 6th district race covers three issues: the national debt, immigration, and education.  

7: 48 p.m. Crowds are starting to gather in Raleigh at the Democrats primary election watch party. 

7:42 p.m. WFMY on scene at the old Guilford County Courthouse waiting for the results for local Guilford County elections! 

7:36 p.m. Kathy Manning supporters are starting to show up to South End Brewing in Greensboro to see the results! 

7:28 p.m. We are awaiting the results in the 6th district congressional race Republican primary results between Joseph Lee Haywood and Laura Pichardo. 

7:34 p.m. CBS projects Joe Biden to win North Carolina.

7:26 p.m. The crowd is starting to pour in at the NC Democrats party in Raleigh. 

6:55 p.m. The State Board of Elections has extended voting hours until 8:10 p.m. for the Miller Park Recreation precinct in Forsyth County. The Board says for about 40 minutes, there was a long line where people walked away without voting. The Board says the disruption was caused by a lack of certain style of democratic ballots. They aren't sure exactly what happened at this time. 

6:30 p.m. The State Board of Elections sent an email release stating it will hold an emergency telephone meeting at 6:45 p.m. to discuss possibly extending voting hours at Miller Park Recreation (Precinct 702) in Forsyth County. WFMY News 2 is listening to the conference call and will bring you the latest. 

6:02 p.m. WFMY's Kevin Kennedy in Raleigh at the site of the Democrats party preparing for live shots. 

5:51 p.m. Set up taking place at the Kathy Manning watch party in downtown Greensboro. 

5:33 p.m. Our very own Maddie Gardner will be covering Kathy Manning at her watch party in Greensboro tonight! 

5:27 p.m. The venue is coming together at the NC Democratic Party event in Raleigh. 

5:02 p.m. WFMY's Marissa Tansino on scene at the NC Republican Party HQ in Raleigh. She will be covering the race between Lieutenant Governor Dan Forest and Rep. Holly Grange. Both are vying for the Republican nomination for governor. 

4:58 p.m. Crews in Raleigh at a party for Democrats. Setup is still underway but the venue is expected to be filled with people later this evening. WFMY crews are expected to see NC governor Roy Cooper and candidate for senate Cal Cunningham later tonight.
