Five people charged after Electric Tequila shooting

The Electric Tequila shooting happened on Nov. 4, 2023.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Five people were arrested after a shooting at Electric Tequila in November 2023, according to Greensboro police. 

Greensboro police were called to Electric Tequila around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 4 after reports of multiple shots fired in the area. 

It was determined that multiple unoccupied cars had been hit by gunfire and 2 people were hurt. A 22-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were treated at nearby hospitals for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Officers learned that the bar had been hosting a gathering attended by a large number of validated criminal street gang members and their associates. 

The following 5 were arrested and facing multiple charges:

  • Khristian Lee Robbins, 21 
  • Aaron Alvester Hughes, 18 
  • Jahquez Ray, 22 
  • Rehman Arif, 40
  • Christopher Joseph Gnash, 38

After 500 hours of investigation:

  • more than 20 involved parties were located and interviewed. 
  • 116 spent shell casings from firearms were submitted as evidence.
  • The National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) was used to determine that there were 14 guns used during the parking lot shootout at Electric Tequila. 

This investigation is ongoing.
