Battalion Chief Korey Randleman was selected as a winner of the 2024 National Life Do Good Heroes Award.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Greensboro Fire Department announced one of their own has been honored for their dedication to the community.

Battalion Chief Korey Randleman was selected as a winner of the 2024 National Life Do Good Heroes Award.

The Do Good Heroes Award honors fire rescue, police personnel, and departments who perform community service activities above and beyond their public safety duty.

The award is sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation.

Randleman will be given $500 to donate to a nonprofit of his choosing.

Tye Green of Stone Press Financial Group nominated Randleman for being an integral part of the community.

“I’d like to recognize the Greensboro Fire Department's dedication to serving their community and going above and beyond their duty to make a positive impact,” said Green.

“This recognition is a testament to their hard work and commitment to making a difference. I’m honored to nominate Korey Randleman for this award and recognize his service to the community.”

Greensboro Fire said Randleman served as an active captain at the Downtown Greensboro Engine house before becoming battalion chief of recruiting and training.

He is involved in his community and whether it is through fire safety trainings, food drives, or back-to-school forums- he is always playing a part in the community.
