ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, NC (WFMY) -- Another sinkhole has formed in Rockingham County following flash flooding last week.
The Rockingham County DOT said the new sinkhole began forming over the weekend as the pipes started to fail.
The 8-foot-deep sinkhole was discovered Tuesday along Oregon Hill and Stone Roads in Ruffin near Oregon Hill.
The road is closed as crews begin to repair the sinkhole. It should be repaired by Friday with asphalting either beginning that day or early next week.
