ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies in Rowan County are looking for 27-year-old, Brandon Scott Meeks for abusing a small child.

Meeks is accused of causing injuries to the boy's genitals and bruising on the child's body. The injuries were discovered, in December 2018, when the child was taken to an area hospital for treatment, deputies say.

The child told a worker at the House Child Advocacy Center in Salisbury about the abuse, and a report was made to the sheriff's office.

The worker said the child told her that Meeks held his head underwater in the bathtub as a form of punishment.

The boy's mother, Hannah Eller, was arrested Saturday, March 9 for being present during the abuse and not reporting it. She is also facing child abuse charges. Eller is in jail under a $75,000 bond.

Deputies say Meeks is still at large and has other outstanding warrants that need to be served on him in Rowan and Stanly Counties.
