Several viewers have shared photos with us showing just how long their wait really is. State officials say they're working to make improvements on service and wait times across North Carolina.

GREENSBORO, NC (WFMY) -- Many people in the Triad, and across North Carolina are wondering when their wait time at the DMV will get shorter.

Several 2 Wants to Know viewers have sent us photos showing just how long their wait really is.

Richard sent us photos from the DMV near Greensboro Coliseum saying, "We need to hold our state representatives accountable. There is no excuse for the lack of efficiency at the DMV."

Richard says Saturday morning made his second visit this week. He says he and his son waited three hours on Tuesday for his son to take a driving test. He even arrived before the office opened at 6:30 a.m.

Sharon also shared photos of people waiting in lawn chairs at the Greensboro DMV. She says she's been there three times this week and has waited anywhere between 1-3 hours, without being helped.

"Everyone here thinks it's ridiculous," Sharon wrote to us. "It looks like a Black Friday or a line to get concert tickets."
