Water Main Break Closes Lane on US 29

The City of Greensboro says nine customers are without water while the leak is being fixed.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The City of Greensboro says a water main break on US 29 near Textile Drive is expected to be repaired by 2 p.m. Wednesday. 

Nine homes are without water because of the leak. It happened early this morning, causing some flooding on the highway. Police closed the right lane of US 29 for crews to work.

City officials didn't know the immediate cause of the leak.
