Man found fatally shot inside car in roadway, police say

Police identified the man who was fatally shot. They say the next-of-kin has been notified.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man was found dead in a car on the roadway following a shooting in a residential area near North Elm St. and I-840 Urban Loop, according to Greensboro police

Police recalled what happened. 

The department said officers went out to the intersection of Kenneth Road and Nandina Drive around 4:38 p.m. Saturday for a reported shooting. 

When officers and first responders got there, they found a man, 23-year-old, Jayard Little who had been shot inside a car in the roadway. EMS tried to save his life, but police say he was declared dead at the scene. 

Police say foul play was involved. 

Police say Little is from Winston-Salem and his next-of-kin has been notified with help from WSPD.
