Cyclist Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle In High Point

High Point Police said a vehicle hit the cyclist around 4:17 p.m. in the area of 2301 South Main Street.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point Police are investigating after a cyclist was hit and killed.

Police said a woman riding a bike left a business on South Main Street and rode into traffic. It happened Tuesday around 4:17 p.m. in the area of the 2200 block of South Main Street. Police said a gray sedan hit the cyclist and stayed there as police arrived and spoke with officers. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver. 

The High Point Police Department Traffic Unit is currently investigating.
