Man charged first-degree murder in High Point parking lot shooting: Police

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point police arrested a man in a deadly shooting Thursday night. 

Police said the shooting happened in a parking lot outside a store on E. Lexington Avenue. They are not releasing the name of the business at this time. 

When officers got there, they found Joseph Christopher Crawford, 26, of High Point, shot to death. 

Police said they arrested Ernest Dunlap, Jr., 52, of High Point, at his home. He was charged with first-degree murder and placed in High Point jail under no bond.
